Pre-Melter, Hot Melt Melting Units and its designing / Challenges:
Hot-melt systems feature heated tanks; The heated tanks need to be slow to warm up to the point where they are ready for use; they shall take around 30- 35 minutes to heat adhesive to operating temperature. The level of glue is to be maintained constant by periodic addition of fresh glue. Otherwise, the long heat soaks and varying molten glue levels lead to charring or overheated and burned adhesive. The adhesive on the side walls, exposed to the atmosphere, chars very quickly. The charred material causes plugging in nozzles. This excessive charring can also lead to premature failure of fluid seals in pumps, dies and guns. This may be dangerous. Even when operators are not injured by heated tank systems, the smell of hot and charring adhesive is frequently unpleasant. Also, the burnt (PSA) glue coating turns dry in very short shelf life.
Trasy Enterprises has designed an inline filtration to avoid the charred and dust particles from clogging of the gun / Die. We also provided a bypass valve to avoid burst of hose or gun due to clogging in hot glue line and resulting safety of the operators. The special heat resistant Pressure sensors display the clogging of the filters. And the level sensors help operator to maintain the filling of the glue.
