Hot Melt Adhesive Spray Coating is a non-contact coating technology used to apply hot melt adhesive in a controlled spray pattern onto substrates such as Crepe Bandage, Elastic Tapes, nonwoven, fabric, paper, film, foam, foil and other flexible materials.
Unlike conventional slot-die coating, spray coating deposits the adhesive as fine droplets or fibres, allowing intermittent, patterned or full-width application while maintaining good adhesive coverage and flexibility.
The adhesive is heated to its recommended processing temperature and pumped through a heated hose to a spray head. The spray nozzle atomizes or disperses the molten adhesive onto the moving substrate. Application weight can be controlled by adhesive flow rate, line speed, spray pressure and nozzle configuration.
