“Where innovation meets precision — and challenges turn into opportunities.” Back in 1994, when shrink labels were unheard of in India, Trasy Enterprises dared to dream differently. Already known for its centre seal pouch making machines with stepper motors, pneumatic drives, and microcontrollers, Trasy was approached by M/s. Garware Polymers with a unique challenge — to seal shrink PVC film and convert it into tubing without distortion. Conventional heat sealing failed, and even advanced adhesives left rigid, ugly seams after shrinking. The task seemed impossible. That’s when Trasy’s engineering team created a breakthrough — an indigenous machine using solvent PVC bonding. The innovation allowed uniform shrinkage across the entire film, including the seam area, eliminating the need for foreign materials. This simple yet ingenious idea sparked the birth of India’s shrink label industry — a process now used globally. Over the decades, Trasy Enterprises has kept evolving — integrating web guides, hot melt applicators, peristaltic pumps, tension controls, stroboscopes, and staggered rewinds into the original design. Today, 30 years later, Trasy stands tall as a symbol of Indian engineering excellence — proudly saying, “We didn’t just build machines — we built an industry.”
